The Department of Computer Applications was established in year 2010.The department is presently headed by Prof. Aasia Quyoum. Initially an intake capacity of 30 seats was approved which was later enhanced up to 40 seats. The Department, since its inception, has produced quality manpower which has been absorbed by the industry/academic institutions and other organizations at local, national and international levels.

The objective of the department is to innovate the areas of computer applications to advance and enhance commercial application and visual application development to build interest in student for specialized research in inventing new database design and to guide the students in building efficient information system. The department emphasizes value based quality education in computer Application and curriculum reflects the depth and width of computer applications .Computer has given lot to the society and has made life comfortable. Presently the department is acting as a back bone for the college as all the technical work is done under the supervision of the department.

Facilities:The Class room is designed with IT environment and equipped with Smart Board. The two computer labs .Each lab is equipped with number of new desktops along with TFT monitors and enhanced   version of software’s. The labs have own UPS and backup power support. There is vast support of books in departmental library. Number of new editions has been added in the library with every growing year.
