Department of Computer Application in collaboration with NCC Girls BN 01 of the college organised a Public Awareness Programme on Cyber Crimes and Cyber Security on 24/09/2022 as the part of celebration of Cyber Jagrokta Diwas at Watal Bagh area Ganderbal. The programme was attended by the students of New Dreamland Educational Institute, JNV, Govt. Degree College Ganderbal, Municipality Workers, Principal of GDC Ganderbal, Principal HSS Kulan and few members of the college. 

The awareness was given by the Nodal Officer of the programme, Ms. Aasia Quyoum, who briefed the students about the crimes that are nowadays committed through electronic gadgets like mobile phone, computers, etc. The participants were given tips to remain safe from the crime world like not to visit unknown websites, never attend video calls from unknown persons, not to respond to fake lottery and job emails etc. The event was successfully concluded with a full media coverage ny Kashmir News Desk, SKN news channels.
