The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with the Innovation incubation cell of the college, organized a workshop titled “Role of Python in the Era of Artificial intelligence” on 25/March/2024 under the aegis of ‘Viksit Bharat’. The programme started with the welcome address by Dr.Sameera siraj, Convenor of IIC, who formally welcomed all the participants and the chief guest of the program. The Principal of the college Prof.(Dr.) Fouzia Fatima, was a chief guest on the occasion. Prof.(Dr.) Fouzia in her opening remarks said that organizing such programmes is the need of an hour given the changing dynamics of the contemporary world, where artificial intelligence is playing its role in almost all walks of life and has drastically changed the outlook of the world in the most favorable way. Prof. Fouzia impressed upon the students to participate in such workshops and try to achieve maximum benefits out of them. This was followed by a technical session which was conducted by Prof.Qurat-ul-ain (Assistant Professor & HoD Computer Applications). The session was purely technical and the theme of the session was “Role of Python in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”. The Session was well illustrated through various aspects, including: ? Introduction to Python programming language, its syntax, and key features. ? Overview of Artificial Intelligence, its subfields, and significance in modern technology. ? Exploration of Python's role in AI applications such as machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. ? Practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises to showcase Python's effectiveness in implementing AI algorithms and solutions and the participants were given hands-on training on the python after the technical talk. The hands-on training was assisted by Mr.Rizwan, who encouraged and helped the participants to try their hands at python. ? The workshop concluded with participants gaining a good understanding of Python's relevance in Artificial Intelligence. The organizers extend their gratitude to Prof.Qurat-ul-ain for her informative and wellconducted presentation as well as to all dignitaries, collaborators, and participants for their valuable contributions towards making the workshop a success. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to fostering knowledge dissemination and skill development in the field of Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence.
