The Department was established to train the students desirous of learning, understanding, teaching and practising various aspects of chemical sciences. Courses were designed to take care of both the classical and contemporary aspects of chemistry. The aim of the Department is to provide sound training in the fundamental principles and basic techniques of the science and to provide interested students with the opportunity for advanced work in the main sub-disciplines of modern chemistry.

Chemistry, a very diverse and challenging subject deals with the properties of matter. Everything in the Universe is Chemistry so accept the challenge and opt for it as a subject because without knowing chemistry one cannot understand the basics of Science and the Diversity of the Universe.
