Message

The Department of commerce ,at Govt. Degree college ,Ganderbal, came into existence in 2010 to offer B.com program .The department aims to provide academically efficient and professional relevant teaching in the areas of Accounting and Finance . our graduates are working in both private sector and Government sector and many have chosen higher studies in commerce. The students are encouraged to get to take –up assignments /projects to supplement theoretical knowledge with practical experience as a part of their curriculum. From the academic session 2022-23, The department is offering subjects as per NEP -2020, the subjects like Accounting & Taxation and Management are offered as Major subject and Minor subject respectively. In addition to these subjects , the department is offering subjects like Introduction to Finance , Human Resource Management and Introduction to Accounting as Multidisciplinary courses to science and arts group students . The skill enhancement courses like E-commerce and Personal selling and salesmanship are also offered as per NEP. The curriculum is taught by an experienced faculty combining academic excellence and real –world experience with dedication and commitment. With this brief introduction , I welcome all the vibrant students and wish them good luck to be a part of our journey towards becoming the best centre of excellence in commerce education and research.
