About NCC

The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization that recruits cates from high schools, Colleges and Universities all over India. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on their achievements in the corps. The Aims of the NCC was laid out in 1988, NCC aims at developing discipline, character, brotherhood, the spirit of adventure and ideals of Selfless Service amongst young citizens. Not only these, but it also aims to enlighten leadership qualities among the youth who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.

The Colleg has a total strength of 140 NCC Cadets registered under 1 JK NCC BN Ganderbal . The cadets have made the college proud by representing the R- Day, I- Day Parades and in different national level camps and other NCC activities in many parts of the country.

By obtainning 'C' Certificates cadet becomes eligible for seeking admission in P.G. courses and for other services and by obtainning 'C' Certificates in grade A and B there is direct entry in CDS Exams, Govt. of India. NCC Cadets organised camps on occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani and Urs of Syed Qamar -ud-din Sahab on 08th and 09th September 2022. Besides this NCC Cadets conducted Cleanliness drives, Annual Trout Nallah, Sindh Nallah, under Puneet Sagar Abiyan, College NCC Cadets Conducted Cleanliness drives in the college. Moreover, NCC Cadets provided Guard of honour to the dignities on occasion of different visits to the college.
